8/12/15- Performance at Worthing High
We performed the same songs at Worthing High School that we performed at Durrington. Again we seemed to be successful in promoting the college, the show and in our performances. I again sung Would You Light My Candle and One Song Glory. Would You Light My Candle was just as effective as when I performed it at Durrington and it gave me the opportunity to show an audience the scene with the Emily playing Mimi this time. There were quite a few laughs and it felt as if it went very well. While One Song Glory did go well, it was not quite as successful as at Durrington as I didn't hit my high note which was a shame but I still feel I portrayed the emotion and story of the song to my audience. They were still and seemed captivated which I think is important in a very emotional song like One Song Glory as it allows they to see and feel the emotion better and allows me as the actor to have a better performance. I will continue to practice singing One Song Glory to get more comfortable singing that high note perfectly.
