23/10/15- Another day With Kim/ Today for you with Props
For the first half of this lesson Emily and I worked on Another Day which is sung between our characters (Roger and Mimi). I was struggling with hitting some notes and so we asked Kim to help us and we rehearsed it along to the piano. I worked on singing from my 'chest voice' using diaphragmatic exercises to give me more confidence singing higher notes and 'belting' them out instead of stopping or singing quietly because I didn't think I could hit the notes. This really helped me as a singer as I am now less afraid of singing difficult notes. By the half way through the lesson we had a good idea of how to work on Another Day further in our own time.
We also looked at Today For You with props as we had already blocked and worked on it but in this lesson we finalised everything and found props to use like a basket to use as a container for all the things Collins brings Mark and Roger and all the items inside it. Max who plays Angel also performed it in heels for the first time so we could see what the actual scene would run like.
