We ran as much of act one as we could into a lesson, trying our best not to stop though act one is more rusty that act two so it took a bit more time to polish certain sequences. On the Street, I'll Cover You and Christmas Bells all needed work and to be polished. Yet most of my own songs and sequences were quite good, after blocking One Song Glory that was much improved and with props and full set, Would You Light My Candle also looked and sounded great. Another Day though needs so work lyrically and timing wise as some of my own notes were a little pitchy on the high notes and there was timing issues with the music when it came to singing the final part of the song. I will work on these problems in my own time and ask for help is I need it.
There were also some problems with timing when it came to getting set off or on to the stage, like for the Support Group scene and Santa Fe. We tried to tackle this by having specific people bring on a certain number of chairs as some people (like me) cannot bring a chair on stage as we will already be on stage. This was still not 100% smooth by the end of the lesson but it was improved from before and we will likely work on it later on.
Overall the run through was an improvement on last time we ran act one, though there is still somethings to be worked on.
