Work Placement

8/1/16- Email to Durrington High School

I decided that for my work placement I would try and work at Durrington High School as I went there and know the Drama staff well. I emailed my past teacher David Hall to inquire about it, this was the email I sent:

Hello David,

Its your favourite past student, James Pullen.

I hope you are doing well.

As you know I am doing a BETC in Performing Arts and as part of the course I need to do a work placement over the course of a week, from the 1st of February to the 5th (Approximately 30 hours of contact.)

I was wondering if I could do this placement for the course at Durrington, shadowing and working with you and the other Drama staff?    

It would be wonderful if you could let me know if that would be at all possible?

I used quite an informal style because I know David quite well and he taught me and has taught many other members of my family, I am aware that if sending an email to someone I did not know as well I would not make jokes and be more formal in my message.

I am hoping to here back from David soon.
